Westley Plastics is able to supply and machine all types of industrial and engineering plastics. We also have developed our own range of special nylons outlined below.

Our Materials

Westlon T

Westlon T is our high impact nylon offering excellent impact strength as well as improved wear properties. Typical applications include piling dollies, block systems and runflat systems.

Westlon T improves the impact strength of nylon, designed for applications that require high stress/impact resistance and noise deadening, Westlon T also offers excellent wear properties and good chemical resistance.

Westlon T is suited to applications including piling dollies, support rollers and our block system. This high impact nylon (Westlon T) is available in a variety of colours and can be provided as plate, rod, tubes or as fully machined components.

Westlon M

Westlon 6 is our proprietary nylon material offering excellent mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance properties.

Westlon 6 is suitable for a wide range of applications including sheave wheel, clamps, crane pads, mandrel segments, bearing rings and bushes.

Westlon 6 is available in a wide range of colours and can be provided as plate, rod, tubes or as fully machined components.

Westlon GL

Westlon M is our oil filled nylon offering a self-lubricating material, whilst retaining its excellent mechanical properties. Typical applications include thrust collars, wear strips and wear pads.

Westlon M significantly improves the wear resistance of nylon, whilst still keeping its excellent mechanical performance. Oil is added during the manufacturing process meaning the lubrication system is in-built and dispersed evenly throughout the material.

This makes it perfect for un-lubricated, highly loaded and slow moving applications, as typically no other lubrication is required.

This oil filled nylon (Westlon M) can be provided as plate, rod, tubes or as fully machined components.

Westlon 6

Westlon GL is our glass reinforced nylon, which is extremely hard-wearing and adds additional stability and rigidity. Glass is added early during the manufacturing process to ensure it is evenly distributed throughout the material.

Typical applications include gears, wear strips and wear pads. This hard-wearing nylon (Westlon GL) can be provided as plate, rod, tubes or as fully machined components.
